History
Longevity Network began when the decision was made to design a quality line of
skin, hair, and personal care products as well as a complete line of nutritional products.
The line was to include a number of nutritional, low or non-fat food items that would be
totally unique to the MLM industry. The search began for a team of medical and nutritional
experts to design the entire line. Today, ten such noted authorities in health and
nutrition make up Longevity's esteemed Medical & Scientific Advisory Board. Together,
they spent three years developing the current Longevity product line.
In April of 1994, Longevity Network, Ltd. was "re-launched" with 51 of the
current 52 products already in place (one of the most comprehensive products lines ever
provided by an MLM company the first day of business).
But there is more to the Longevity story. By having American 3D as its predecessor,
Longevity had the very powerful and unique advantage of an already fully operational,
large operations center and warehouse -- mostly bought and paid for by revenues from
American 3D! Upon visiting the Longevity corporate headquarters (the same facilities which
once ran American 3D) you will find over 40 fully operational computer stations of which
less than ten are currently being utilized.
All the phone lines and equipment is installed to handle over $100,000,000 a year in
orders. There's a graphics arts and design department, numerous offices, computer room,
large meeting rooms, and a huge warehouse (only a fraction of which is currently being
used).
The beauty to this is that Longevity Network not only has a significantly lower overhead
than most other MLM operations (perhaps by tens-of-thousands of dollars per month), but
when the momentum phase of their growth cycle hits (when most companies suffer severe
"growing pains") Longevity will already have everything they need to handle it
already in place! All they'll need to do is hire and train additional support personnel,
which they will be able to concentrate much more time and energy on.
The advantage of this dynamic transition from American 3D to Longevity Network should not
be downplayed. This situation provides Longevity and its distributors with an incredible
and exclusive benefit as far as company viability and, yes, longevity! You see, when the
growth cycle of an MLM company reaches "momentum," there must be an astronomical
outlay of cash by the company to keep one step ahead of that growth.
This cost to "keep up" rather than "catch up" can be literally in the
millions of dollars over the duration of a company's momentum phase (by adding more phone
lines, upgrading the software, purchasing more computer and office equipment, moving to
larger facilities, and filling the warehouse with vast amounts of product inventory in
anticipation of increased sales). This phase in an MLM company's growth and the challenges
that accompany it have made it the number two killer of MLM operations (only second to
under-capitalization). This is why having immediate access to the necessary facilities, at
a fraction of the overall cost, gives Longevity Network and absolutely awesome advantage.
